Mitridate, Rè di Ponto
(2019)
We live in times in which the battles for a black fluid justify the worst of carnage. Over two thousand years ago the defense of some particularly dark waters made Mithridates a myth. A king famous for having resisted three of the greatest Roman generals, however haunted by the fear of suffering in his own flesh the same torments that he had inflicted upon his family. An internal threat that forces him to the most ingenious of strategies: poison himself daily in order to resist the impending betrayal of his own blood.
